The Air Mobility Training and Exercise Center ( ÜbZLbwglk ) based in the Immelmann barracks in Celle , Lower Saxony, is one of the army's central training facilities and is particularly responsible for training paratroopers and army pilots . Airborne deployment has not been possible to date within the framework of the available resources or has only been possible with an expense that is no longer economically justifiable. The Air Mobility Training and Exercise Center, which was founded in July 2016, is the training / exercise facility that now closes this skill gap. With immediate effect, the center is the army's central training facility for everything to do with airborne operations: airborne operations, airborne operations, air mechanized operations and air transport.

Association badge

The newly designed association badge shows the symbol of the Berlin Airlift and the Iron Cross on a blue and silver shield. The border is in the color Bordeaux red. The airlift monument, which is the central element of the badge, is located in the district of Celle-Wietzenbruch at the entrance to the barracks. It is a reminder of the air supply to the Berlin population during the Cold War, which was mainly carried out from the Celle and Faßberg airfields. The colors blue and silver represent the bond with the city of Celle. The burgundy red border picks up on the beret colors of the army aviation troops as well as the paratroopers, the essential carriers of air mobility.
