The United Nations Training Center of the Bundeswehr ( VNAusbZBw ) or German Armed Forces United Nations Training Center ( GeUNTrgCentre ) in Hammelburg was put into service on October 27, 1999 and is the Bundeswehr's central training center for practical, preparatory training for UN missions in Framework of international conflict prevention and crisis management. The office is an independent part of the training command .
Soldiers of all rank groups , civilian employees of the Bundeswehr or members of civil authorities and institutions such as the Foreign Office , the European Union , the UN or journalists from media universities are trained in the UN training center . The UN training center emerged from the former 8th inspection of the infantry school of the German Armed Forces, which had received the official order of the UN pre-training in August 1994. The agency is tasked with collecting and evaluating operational experience and providing the relevant expertise for future missions. As part of the contract, the training facility works with a large number of international committees and offices.
In order to be able to carry out training that is as practical as possible, the "Practice Village Bonnland " and the "UN Camp Felschental" are available at the Hammelburg military training areas, and the "Housing Area" and the "Hawk Site" in Wildflecken.
The center is a member of the cooperation and training network Fo (u) r Peace Central Europe .
