The Tactics Center of the Army (TZH) is one of the centers of the Army based in Dresden . It is affiliated with the Army Officers' School .

tasks

Its main task is to support the troops and the training facilities, especially the officers' school, in the creation of teaching and learning materials for tactical training and further education as well as the coordination of the teaching statements of all schools in the army . Another focus is the further development of tactics. For this purpose, the military specialist literature is evaluated and military-historical examples are used.

history

On October 1, 1980, the Army Tactical Center in Hanover began its work. In 1995 the SIRA battalion was established in Hanover. In 1998 the center and the officers' school moved to Dresden. The simulation system to support framework exercises (SIRA) was integrated into the army officers' school in Dresden on July 1, 2008.

Association badge

The basic shape of the association badge is a shield with a red background and shows two crossed swords. Under the swords there is a white "S", which indicates the schools of the army . The piping of the badge is white and black. The association badge (worn on the left sleeve of the service suit) is therefore identical to that of the army officers' school, which in turn only differs from that of the army office by the white "S". The training institutions of the military branches that are subordinate to the Army Office carry the same association badge, but the piping is in the respective weapon color of the military branch.
