history
The center was officially put into service on March 6, 2008 by the Inspector of the Army in Munster. It combines two former troop schools, the Army Air Defense School and the Armored Troop School , and parts of several other troop schools to set up the Army Reconnaissance Training Center . As early as October 1, 2007, the Armored Troops Training Center and the Army Air Defense Force Training Center took over the teaching and further development of the former Armored Force School and the Army Air Defense School. Also on October 1, 2007, the Army Reconnaissance Force Training Center was set up. Since the Army Reconnaissance Force is a new type of service from several other troop types, the Army Reconnaissance Force Training Center takes on sub-tasks of several other, e.g. T. former military schools together, u. a. Armored Force School, Artillery School and Special Operations Training Center .
The Army Air Defense Force Training Center was relocated from Rendsburg to Munster at the beginning of 2010 . The specific shooting of the Army anti-aircraft defense continued unchanged in the Todendorf and Putlos branches . The Army Air Defense Force Training Center was decommissioned on March 12, 2012 as part of the decommissioning of the Army Air Defense Force . The position of General of the Army Air Defense Force , previously associated with the Commander of the Army Air Defense Force Training Center, was dropped.
The sergeant / sergeant candidate battalions 1 in Sondershausen and 2 in Celle , which were initially subordinate to the training center , have been subordinate to the Army NCOs in Delitzsch since June 2016 .
coat of arms
The coat of arms of the training center Munster is dominated by the iron cross on a silver shield. The white and black color scheme reflects the tradition of the Prussian army reforms . The Munster training center continues the tradition of the former tank troop school as the central training facility at the Munster site. Therefore, the stylized Gothic "S" was borrowed from the coat of arms of the armored troop school. It stands for school and indicates the importance of the training center as a teaching and training location for the next generation of leaders in the German Army. In the center of the coat of arms is the silver heart shield with the fire-breathing, red-armored, blue dragon. Shield and dragon symbolize both protection and defensiveness. The dragon was taken from the coat of arms of the garrison town of Munster and thus documents the connection between the training center and its garrison town.
