The Feldgehölz landscape protection area in Ardorf is a landscape protection area in the Wittmund district of the state of Lower Saxony . It bears the number LSG WTM 00010. As the lower nature conservation authority, the district of Wittmund is responsible for the area.
Description of the area
The protected landscape area, designated in 1941, covers an area of 0.03 square kilometers and is located north of the Birkenweg on the Borkholter Leide river, southeast of the center of Ardorf , a district of Wittmund .
Protection purpose
The general protection purpose is the "preservation and development of a natural, species-rich forest parcel with a directly adjacent pond, especially for bird protection". The district wants to achieve this through a revision of the protected area ordinance, an enlargement of the landscape protection area in a northerly direction and the inclusion of the local pond. In addition, the district proposes a protection as a protected landscape component in order to ensure the protection sufficiently.
