Landscape protection area open spaces east of Hoppecke
The landscape protection area open spaces east of Hoppecke with 76.4 hectares is located in the urban area of Brilon . The area was the 2002 district council of Hochsauerlandkreises with the landscape plan Hoppecketal as a conservation area designated (LSG). The LSG extends to the Hoppecke settlement area .
The landscape protection area open spaces east of Hoppecke was designated as one of 22 landscape protection areas of type B, location on the outskirts, landscape character in the urban area of Brilon. In the urban area there are also four type A landscape protection areas (general landscape protection) and 53 type C landscape protection areas (meadow valleys and significant extensive grassland) with different requirements.
These are open land areas with grassland and smaller arable land .
Protection purpose
The designation was carried out to ensure the diversity and uniqueness of the landscape in the vicinity of the localities and the old agricultural priority areas by keeping it open.
Legal regulations
As there is in the other protected areas of type B in LSG a prohibition of afforestation and the investment of Christmas - Schmuckreisig- and nursery crops . As in all type B landscape planning areas in the urban area of Brilon, there is a requirement to keep the LSG free from forest cover through agricultural use or through maintenance measures.
