Landscape protection area Kierspe type B
The nature reserve Kierspe type B with 309.25 hectares is located in the Märkischer Kreis in the area of the city of Kierspe . It was designated in 2003 by the district council of the Märkisches Kreis with the landscape plan No. 7 Kierspe as a landscape protection area (LSG) of type B (special landscape protection). The LSG goes to the edge of the settlement.

Protection purpose
The designation was carried out to maintain, develop or restore the efficiency and functionality of the natural balance or the regenerative and sustainable usability of natural assets, including the protection of habitats and habitats. Also because of the diversity, character or beauty or the special cultural and historical importance of the landscape and because of its special importance for recreation.
Legal regulations
In the LSG, among other things, the construction of buildings and the plowing of grassland are prohibited. Furthermore, first afforestation and the new planting of Christmas tree cultures, ornamental branches and tree nursery cultures outside the forest are prohibited.
