Landscape protection area open cultural landscape

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The open cultural landscape conservation area with 914.25  hectares is located in the urban area of Büren in the Paderborn district . The landscape protection area (LSG) was designated by the district council in 2007 with the Bürener Almetal landscape plan. The LSG consists of several sub-areas and borders on other landscape protection areas.

description

The LSG mainly covers the plateau area. These are areas characterized by predominantly arable land and, subsequently, also grassland use. The LSG is mainly structured by rows of trees and hedges. These essentially include areas west of Steinhausen and Eickhoff, in the Ahdener Grund area at the edge of the forests, in and on the Almetal, in the Altenböddeken area and north and northwest of Hegensdorf. There are also orchards in the area.

It is forbidden to affect orchards or to remove them without a permit. For the care of the orchards, including the soil maintenance, there is the possibility of funding within the framework of the contractual nature conservation (cultural landscape program). If a permit is granted to remove fruit trees, appropriate compensation and replacement must be created, including regular tree and soil maintenance.
