Landscape protection area on the outskirts of Eslohe

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The protected landscape area on the outskirts of Eslohe with 64.9  hectares is located around Eslohe . The area was in 2008 by the council of Hochsauerlandkreises with the landscape plan Eslohe as a conservation area designated (LSG). The LSG was designated as one of 35 type B landscape protection areas on the outskirts, open land and cultural landscape protection in the Eslohe municipality. In the municipality there is also a type A LSG, general landscape protection and 42 type C, meadow valleys, protection of significant extensive grasslands . The LSG is part of the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge Nature Park or, until 2015, the Homert Nature Park . The LSG consists of six sub-areas and extends to the edge of the settlement.

description

The LSG consists of open land with mainly grassland, but with a high proportion of arable land around Eslohe. Large areas are to the west and east of the place and small areas are south of the place.

Protection purpose

The designation was carried out to ensure the diversity and uniqueness of the landscape in the vicinity of the localities and the old agricultural priority areas by keeping it open. Also because of its special importance for recreation.

Legal regulations

As in the other landscape protection areas in the municipality, the LSG prohibits building structures. Construction projects for horticulture, agriculture and forestry are exempt from the ban. The Lower Nature Conservation Authority can issue exceptional permits for buildings of all kinds. As in the other type B landscape protection areas in Eslohe, the LSG prohibits initial afforestation and the creation of Christmas trees , ornamental branches and tree nursery cultures .

As in all type B and type C landscape planning areas in the municipality, there is a requirement to keep the LSG free from forest cover through agricultural use or through maintenance measures.
