Wenninger and Wettmarsener Bachtal protected landscape area
The landscape protection area Wenninger and Wettmarsener Bachtal with 33.9 hectares is located in the urban area of Arnsberg . It was designated in 1998 with the Arnsberg landscape plan by the district council of the Hochsauerland district as a landscape protection area (LSG) type C ( meadow valleys ). The LSG lies with betting marsen . In the west and south the LSG borders on the city limits, in the west also on the district border.

The LSG includes grassland and rivers in the Wenningerbachtal and Wettmarsener Bachtal.
Protection purpose
The designation was made to secure and maintain the efficiency of the natural balance or the usability of the natural assets; because of the variety, character or beauty of the landscape and its particular importance for recreation. The designation is intended to secure open spaces in the outskirts.
Legal regulations
In the landscape protection area, among other things, the erection of structures is prohibited. How is the LSG into the other protected areas of type A in Arnsberg prohibition of afforestation and tree - Schmuckreisig- and nursery crops to apply. In contrast to type A and B LSGs, it is forbidden to convert grassland and fallow grassland into arable land or other uses.
