Langdysse from Sønder Stenderup
The Langdysse of Sønder Stenderup (also called Midtskov Afdl. 82) is in the Midtskov (middle forest), east of Kolding in Jutland in Denmark . It dates from the Neolithic Age around 3500 to 2800 BC. And is a megalithic system of the funnel beaker culture (TBK). The approximately one meter high north-west-south-east oriented megalithic bed of the Langdysse with two transverse dolmen chambers that were restored in 1942is about 21.0 m long and 9.0 m wide. The curbs (38) are almost completely preserved. The chambers both have the same shape. One end stone in the north, two lateral bearing stones in the east and west, two pairs of gangue stones (without cap stones) and a cap stone on the chamber.
