history

Gestört aber GeiL consists of the German DJs Spike * D (*  1990 as Marcel Stephan in Querfurt ) and Nico Wendel (*  1984 in Sangerhausen ). The two met in the “My Ccools World” disco in Sangerhausen, where both of them regularly put their records on. The DJs noticed that their style of music matched and decided in October 2010 to found the project "Gestört aber GeiL". The mixture of melodic tech and deep house paired with pop pieces is the basis of their music sets.

But disturbed GeiL celebrated his breakthrough on the Sputnik Springbreak in 2012. They previously won the performance as the main prize at a DJ contest.

The duo has been under contract with the Kontor Records label since the beginning of 2015 . Her first published there Single Under my skin was a cover of the song of the same name Elif but from the year 2013, the disturbed GeiL with Koby Funk and Wincent Weiss recorded. It reached number six in the German charts in July 2015 and was awarded a gold record . Her second single Ich & Du , which was created in collaboration with Sebastian Hämer , also made it into the charts.

Her first album was released on January 8, 2016, entitled Gestört aber GeiL . It contains 18 songs, including the previously released singles Unter Meine Haut and Ich & Du , and entered the German charts at second place.

Her second album #ZWEI was released on July 21, 2017. The included song "Be My Now", which was sung by LEA , was used in 2018 as the theme song for the eighth season of The Bachelor .
