Easton Corbin (* 12. April 1982 in Trenton , Florida ) is an American country - singer .

Career

After his parents divorced, Corbin grew up with his grandparents on a cattle ranch, where he came into contact with country music. At the age of 15 he took guitar lessons from Pee Wee Melton, a former studio musician in Nashville . He became a guitarist in a local band and also had his first solo appearances. He was discovered while performing in a record shop and hired for the Suwannee River Jam Festival. Appearances in the opening act of well-known local musicians followed.

After graduating from college, he went to Nashville in 2006 to become a professional musician. After three years he was signed by Mercury Nashville and released his debut single A Little More Country Than That that same year and an EP of the same title shortly afterwards. In September 2009, his song got into the Billboard Country Songs for the first time and worked its way up week after week until it was number 1 for a week in April 2010 after the release of his self-named debut album. The follow-up single Roll with It took a similar course and also rose to number 1 in October 2010. Both songs were also successful in the official Billboard Hot 100 .
