Trenton is a city and also the county seat of Gilchrist County in the US state of Florida with 1999 inhabitants (as of 2010).

According to the 2010 census, the population at that time was distributed among 786 households. The population density was 298.4 inh / km². 74.2% of the population identified themselves as whites, 17.6% as African-Americans , 0.6% as Indians, and 0.6% as Asian Americans . 4.3% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 2.8% to several ethnic groups. 7.9% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .
