The Florida State Road 26 is a state highway in the US state of Florida , on a length of 100 kilometers of Fanning Springs in Gilchrist County to the Putnam County leads. The road is operated by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).
Route
From Fanning Springs, the road heads east through Trenton , where US Highway 129 intersects. In the further course in Newberry ( Alachua County ) it crosses the US 41 . On the western outskirts of Gainesville, SR 26 crosses Interstate 75 and then crosses State Roads 20 , 24 , 121 and 222 and US Highway 441 in the urban area . Further east, US 301 and finally State Road 21 in Putnam County is crossed before the road finally turns intoState Road 100 joins and ends.
