The Florida State Road 4 (short FL 4 ) is a state highway in the US state of Florida . It runs in an east-west direction in the Florida Panhandle .
The State Road begins on US Highway 29 in Century and ends after 45 miles in Milligan on US Highway 90 . About five kilometers after Century it crosses the Escambia River and then meets State Road 89 in Jay . West of Berrydale, FL 4 meets State Road 87 and at Baker meets State Road 189 .
The road runs through Escambia , Santa Rosa, and Okaloosa Counties .
