The Florida State Road 24 (short- FL 24 ) is a state highway in the US state of Florida , the Northeast-Southwest direction is in. It begins in Cedar Key and ends on US Highway 301 in Waldo .
Route
The State Road begins in Cedar Key, Levy County, on the Gulf of Mexico and heads northeast. As a result, the road crosses in Otter Creek , the US Highways 19 and 98 and then to Bronson the alternate route of US Highway 27 . It then continues into the Alachua County by Archer , where the US Highways 27 and 41 to be crossed before nearing Gainesville to Interstate 75 is achieved.
In the urban area of Gainesville, the FL 121 is crossed before the FL 226 branches off to the right and the State Road shares a common route with US Highway 441 for a good one kilometer on SW 13th St. She then turns right onto W University Ave , which she shares with FL 26 for a good 2.5 km . It then continues out of town in a north-westerly direction, where FL 120 first joins from the right, FL 222 is crossed and the road then passes Gainesville Regional Airport . After another 15 km the FL 24 ends in Waldo.
