London Grammar is composed of three members: Hannah Reid, Dominic "Dot" Major and Dan Rothman British indie pop - band .
history
Singer Reid (born December 30, 1989 ) and guitarist Rothman (born September 23, 1989 ), both originally from London, met in the dormitory of Nottingham University . In 2009 they founded London Grammar and initially only appeared as a cover band. After drummer Major (born February 23, 1991 ) joined the group, the first songs were written. Further local appearances followed, mostly in front of a small audience, but the band remained largely unknown.
In December 2012, the three musicians published their first single Hey Now on the Internet , with which they achieved their breakthrough. In February 2013 the EP Metal & Dust was released . With the single Wasting My Young Years , the band reached the British charts for the first time in June 2013. The debut album If You Wait was released on September 9, 2013.
The second album Truth Is a Beautiful Thing was released on June 9, 2017. In November 2017, London Grammar released a cover version of the Prince song Purple Rain on the album BBC Radio 1 ’s Live Lounge 2017 .
