Flume (musician)
Flume (* 5. November 1991 in Sydney , actually Harley Edward Streten ) is an Australian Electronica - DJ and music producer from Manly , Sydney.
Life
According to his own account, Flume started producing beats at the age of 13 after he discovered a music program that was added to a cereal box. His debut EP Sleepless was released in 2011 via Future Classics . A remix of the song Zimbabwe from New Navy aired on Pedestrian.tv and found use in a clip of the music video show Rage . In 2012 he played an Australian tour and at various festivals in Australia. In November 2012 the debut album Flume followed , which reached number one on the Australian album charts in early February 2013 .
At the ARIA Awards the following year, Flume was the most successful artist with four awards. In addition to the Newcomer Award, he also received the award for best male artist and producer of the year, the album Flume was honored as the best dance album.
His album Skin received the award for best dance / electronic album at the 2017 Grammy Awards in the USA .
