Chaz Bear (born November 7, 1986 as Chaz Bundick ), better known as Toro y Moi is an American "Chillwave" musician.

Life

Chaz Bundick was born in Columbia , South Carolina , where he attended Ridge View High School, where he formed the indie rock band The Heist and the Accomplice with three classmates .

music

His music has many different influences, but he is often associated with the chillwave genre. He is known for changing and developing his style from album to album. In addition to electronic and dance, his spectrum ranges from indie pop to alternative rock to alternative R&B.

"Toro y Moi" is a multilingual expression consisting of the Spanish word toro ('bull'), y (Spanish: 'and') and moi , which means 'I' in French.
