Long ridge

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A rocky ridge in the south of the Glockner group in East Tyrol (municipality of Kals am Großglockner ) is called a long ridge or long wall . The rock ridge is located south of the Zollspitze ( 3024  m above sea level ), from which the ridge is separated by a saddle. In the south, the Rumesoischarte ( 2950  m above sea level ) separates the Lange Grat from the Kristallspitzl ( 3031  m above sea level ). There are three peaks just over 3000 meters on the Long Ridge. From north to south these are the Rumesoikopf ( 3001  m above sea level ), the Yellow Hörnl ( 3003  m above sea level ) and the Green Head ( 3005  m above sea level ), with the between Rumesoikopf and Yellow Hornl Red notch is located. All three peaks are not listed in most maps and are only listed in the special guide literature.
