Long gun

Long guns are a category of firearms according to the definitions of the German Weapons Act (WaffG). The term long weapon is not a term used in weapon technology. Long guns and components thereof exceed certain dimensions of short guns . In terms of weapons , it is a question of portable firearms, the range of which goes beyond that of handguns.

"Long guns; These are firearms whose barrel and breech are longer than 30 cm in the closed position and whose shortest intended total length exceeds 60 cm; Handguns are all other firearms. "

Weapon assignment

Long weapons are shotguns and rifles as a single shot , repeating mechanism and self-loading weapons and the law as war firearms classified submachine guns , machine carbines and machine guns .
