The Lanz Bulldog D 6007 is a road tractor from the Lanz Bulldog brand , which is based on the agricultural tractor D 6006.

technology

Construction and power transmission

The D 6007 is a frameless two-axle tractor in block design with a front leaf-sprung pendulum axle and a rear unsprung rigid axle. The front wheels are smaller than the rear wheels, all wheels are single-tire disc wheels with wide base rims. The steering is a stub axle steering with split tie rod, the D 6007 was offered exclusively as a right-hand drive. The internal pressure air brake system acts on two brake drums with a diameter of 400 mm on the rear wheels, the front wheels are unbraked. A band brake acts as a handbrake. There is a brake connection for trailers.

The drive power is transmitted from the engine via a single-plate dry clutch to a transversely mounted mechanical and unsynchronized two-range gearbox with three forward and one reverse gears; a total of six forward and two reverse gears are available. The torque is transferred from the gearbox via gears to the rear axle, the differential of which cannot be locked.

engine

The engine is a two-stroke semi-diesel engine from Lanz, which is based on the hot-head engine , but, unlike this, works with direct injection and is 12: 1 higher than a hot-head engine, but lower than a diesel engine. As the engine is a medium-speed single-cylinder engine with circulation lubrication and water cooling lance also in other motors, the front of the tractor transversely and installed horizontally. The cylinder is made of cast iron. With a bore of 190 mm and a stroke of 260 mm, the displacement is 7370 cm 3 . The uncooled cylinder head from Lanz is sealed to the cylinder with a copper ring. The light metal piston from Mahle or Schmitt has four piston rings, the power is transmitted to a connecting rod from Lanz, and the crankshaft and crankcase are also manufactured by Lanz. The gas exchange of the engine as controlled in two-stroke engines usually via input and Auslasschlitze. Since the engine is started with a gasoline-diesel mixture, there are two tanks.

The fuel is cleaned by a Bosch cell filter and injected into the conical combustion chamber with a Bosch injection pump through Bosch injection nozzles. The injection pump is controlled by an all-speed controller. The engine does not have an oil pan, the oil is cleaned with a felt plate filter and circulated by a Bosch oil pump. The sucked in air is cleaned with an oil bath air filter. The Lanz partial block water cooler has a capacity of 60 l, its warm exhaust air is blown away by a fan.

The engine is started with a Bosch pendulum starter. When starting the engine, the throttle is set to full throttle and a diesel-gasoline mixture is injected into the combustion chamber, which is ignited with a spark plug with a buzzer ignition coil before switching to pure diesel operation. The spark plug is no longer necessary for continued operation. The pendulum starter does not crank the motor, but only up to its maximum torque and then switches over. The energy stored in the gas as a result of the compression will eventually be sufficient to overcome top dead center .
