Lars-Erik Ahlberg

Lars-Erik Ahlberg (born June 5, 1934 ) is a former Swedish football player . He has played four international matches.

career

Ahlberg played for Helsingborgs IF in the Allsvenskan between 1954 and 1966 . The player was denied a title. After the runner-up title in 1954 and a third place in 1957, the team only managed to stay up in 1960 thanks to the better goal difference. He also ended his career third from bottom of the league. He is called a technician and strategist. Despite the lack of a title, he is considered an outstanding person at the club and was voted into the top 10 personalities in 2007 on the occasion of the club's hundredth birthday.

On June 18, 1957 Ahlberg made his debut in the 0-0 draw against Norway in the Swedish national team . There he was unable to establish himself as a regular player and was used in a total of four international matches until his last game in the national jersey on October 5, 1966.
