Lars Lehmann (wheelchair basketball player)

Lars Lehmann (born May 25, 1977 ) is a German wheelchair basketball player .

Life

Lehmann has been dependent on a wheelchair since he was three years old due to incomplete paralysis. He came to wheelchair basketball through a recommendation during a rehabilitation measure lasting several months in 1990. His functional classification is 3.0.

His sporting successes include two Paralympic participations for Germany, two bronze medals at European championships and one participation in the world championship. In addition, Lehmann is Junior European Champion and German Champion. Lehmann currently plays for the Mainhatten Skywheelers of the Frankfurt wheelchair sports club in the Bundesliga and will play for the German national team at Eurobasketball 2013 in Frankfurt.

In 2015 Lars Lehmann ended his active career after 25 years.
