Lars Muhl (born November 14, 1950 in Aarhus ) is a Danish author , musician , mystic and seer . In parallel to his musical career, Lars Muhl studied comparative religion and philosophy until he focused on Aramaic, Christian and Jewish mysticism in 1988. He has written several books on these subjects and has given workshops and lectures in Denmark and abroad.

Life

At the age of 14, Lars Muhl began his professional writing career as a freelance journalist for the regional newspaper Aarhus Amtstidende . In 1993 his memoirs were published under the title Sjæl i Flammer ( Eng .: soul in flames). Muhl describes how his childhood was shaped by the far too early death of his sister and claims that this event triggered an unusually sensitive and highly developed form of perception ( extrasensory perception ) that allows him to feel other people's pain and hidden aspects of life.

From 1966 to 1968 Lars Muhl was part of the band Dragon Five , for which he also wrote songs. Since then he has been part of two other rock bands: Daisy (1968–74) and Warm Guns (1978–84), but has also performed solo and has produced music for other artists. Muhl sings, plays keyboard, piano and guitar and has composed many songs, some of which have also been interpreted by other musicians, e.g. B. by the Danish singer Lis Sørensen . From 1975 to 1976 he studied at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus, Denmark. After falling ill in 1995, Lars Muhl ended his music career in 1999 to devote himself entirely to esotericism and writing. In his book The Seer , Muhl describes how he was struck by an illness which defied diagnosis and which confined him to bed for three years. It was only when he came into contact with the seer Calle de Montségur through a friend that he was able to escape his sickbed and became something like de Montségur's “sorcerer's apprentice”. His training with him lasted from 1998 to 2003 and inspired Muhl to write the spiritual trilogy Das O Manuskript (“The Seer”, “Magdalena” and “The Grail”).

Lars Muhl lives in Denmark and is married to the author and sound therapist Githa Ben-David, with whom he also released new recordings in 2011. Together they organize healing concerts, run the Gilalai - a center for healing and mysticism and own a publishing house. In 2013, Lars Muhl joined Watkins' list of the 100 most spiritually influential people alive.
