Lazar Majarov

Lasar Madscharow (also written Lazar Madzharov , Bulgarian Лазар Маджаров ; * March 1872 Negowan, today Xylopoli near Thessaloniki in Greece ; †  November 10, 1907 near Loutros , today in Greece) was a Bulgarian revolutionary, freedom fighter and is considered a leading figure in the BMARK ( Bulgarian Macedonian-Adrianople Revolutionary Committee / Български Македоно-Одрински революционни комитети , a predecessor organization of the IMRO ) in Macedoniaand Thrace . In addition to Mikhail Gerdschikow, he led the preparations for the Ilinden-Preobraschenie uprising and commanded units of the organization in the “7. revolutionary region ”, which included Eastern Thrace . He was a classmate and close friend of Goze Deltschew . The politician and freedom fighter Atanas Madscharow is his brother.
