The Lasco Lascondor was an airliner produced by the Australian manufacturer Larkin Aircraft Supply Company .

History and construction

The Lasco Lascondor was built by Larkin Aircraft Supply Company (Lasco) in the 1930s as an eight-seat commercial and mail plane and was the first multi-engine aircraft designed in Australia. The development of the Lascondor began in June 1928 at the same time as the Lascoter . The two planes had 90% identical components. The biggest difference between the two machines was that the Lascondor was powered by three Armstrong-Siddeley-Mongoose engines and the Lascoter by an Armstrong-Siddeley-Puma engine. Like the Lascoter, the Lascondor was a braced high- wing aircraft with a fabric-covered tubular steel fuselage, a non-retractable tail wheel landing gear and a fully enclosed cabin for the passengers and the pilot. The Lascondor also had larger fuel tanks and a slightly longer hull with a redesigned cabin to accommodate an additional row of seats.
