Lashibi is a newly created place in the Greater Accra Region in the West African state of Ghana . It is located on the northwestern edge of Tema and was probably created by separating a district from Asheiman .

At the last census of the country on March 26, 2000, 30,193 inhabitants lived in the city. Projections for January 1, 2007 estimate the population to be 54,789. Lashibi is east of Accra near the port city of Tema. The strong population growth is influenced, among other things, by a large number of migrants who move from more rural parts of the country to the vicinity of Tema in order to find employment here.
