Lasso was a western comic that was published by Bastei-Verlag in Germany between 1965 and 1985 .

The booklet with the characteristic lettering in Western script (in different shades of red and orange) was published every four weeks and initially cost 80 pfennigs , later 1.20 marks . The adventures, which were drawn in color throughout, were drawn realistically.

As is common with other Bastei comics ( Bessy , Felix , Wastl, etc.), issues that had not been sold were again put on the market as double issues and special volumes (with 3 to 6 individual issues and hardcover).

The early editions up to issue 45 were entitled "Lasso Western". Later editions were called "Buffalo Bill" (draftsman: Hansrudi Wäscher ), from issue 377 this series was converted into an independent series that appeared from 1975 to 1984.
