Magic lantern

Laterna magika is an avant-garde theater in Prague that plays in the "New Scene" attached to the National Theater .

It is an interweaving of film , light, music, ballet and pantomime . Alfréd Radok first presented this form of theater at the 1958 World Exhibition in Brussels , and later at the World Exhibition Expo 67 in Montreal. The project was conceived as a central, representative culture-propagandistic program of Czechoslovakia for the Expo 58, and was very successful in 1958 as well as in 1967.

The titles of the pieces played are Kouzelný Cirkus ( Magical Circus ), Odyssey , Minotaur , Carmina Burana , Casanova , Rätsel , Trap , Zahrada ( Garden ), Cube (since 2016).
