Laudetur Jesus Christ ( Latin for "Praise be to Jesus Christ ") is a greeting among Catholics . The answer to this greeting is: In aeternum. Amen. ("For ever. Amen.").

Another form of the answer to the laudation of Jesus Christ used to be per omnia saecula saeculorum ("from now on until forever"), to which the greeter replied Amen . This greeting was mainly given to the priests .

Laudetur Jesus Christ is also the motto of Vatican Radio . It is also traditionally said after the sign of the cross at the end of private prayers.
