Laura Wilson (writer)

Laura Wilson (* 1964 ) is a British crime writer who lives and works in the Islington district in her native London . She has published numerous crime novels , some of which have also appeared in German. Several of these novels are set in London during World War II . She also wrote some historical novels for children in the 1990s.

Wilson holds degrees in English literature from Somerville College , Oxford and University College London . She worked as a teacher and still works today as a non-fiction editor . In 1999 her first detective novel, A Little Death , was nominated for the Dagger Award of the British Crime Writers' Association (CWA). Another work, The Lover , was nominated for both the CWA's and the CWA's Gold Dagger Ellis Peters Historical Dagger .
