Laurentius Church in Adersbach

The Protestant Laurentius Church in Adersbach , a district of the large district town of Sinsheim in the Rhein-Neckar district in northern Baden-Württemberg , goes back to a Walpurgis chapel that was attested as early as the 13th century and received through renovation of the nave in 1780/82 and the church tower in 1784/86 essentially its current shape. It stands on the northern outskirts on the flat slope next to the cemetery. The nearby rectory was renovated around 1755 and is still surrounded by the remains of its historic farm buildings.

Bells

The oldest bell in the church was cast by Sprinkhorn & Schrader in Frankenthal in 1821 . It has the strike note c '', a diameter of 69 cm and a weight of 175 kg. Its inscription reads GEGOSSEN VON GBR SPRINKHORN ET SCHRADER IN FRANKENTHAL IN FRONT OF THE COMMUNITY ADERSBACH and it is decorated with a flower frieze. A larger bell that existed in the 19th century was cast in 1878 at the Bachert bell foundry in Dallau. It had a diameter of 80 cm and a weight of 303 kg. This larger bell had to be delivered for armaments purposes during the First World War in 1917. In 1922 a replacement bell with the strike tone a sharp ', a diameter of 90 cm and a weight of 424 kg was cast by Bachert in Karlsruhe on a donation from the Commerce Councilor Albert Franck. This bell had to be delivered again in 1942 during the Second World War. In 1950, Bachert in Kochendorf ( Bad Friedrichshall ) cast a bronze bell with the striking note b ', a diameter of 86 cm and a weight of 351 kg. Its inscription reads O COUNTRY COUNTRY LAND HEAR THE LORD'S WORD . The two chimes were extended by a third bell in 2009. This was cast by Bachert in Karlsruhe, has the striking note 'es', a diameter of about 65 cm and a weight of about 170 kg.
