The Protestant Laurentiuskirche in Lorenzenzimmern , a district of Vellberg ( district of Schwäbisch Hall ) is a historical sacred building .

architecture

In 1410 a chapel dedicated to St. Laurentius was built on this site . The church tower was built in 1564 by the builders Melchor Wezel and Conrad Fuchs. A stone tablet with a corresponding inscription also reminds of this.

In 1840 an octagon with a roof was placed on top of the 16th century church tower . The parish church also dates from 1840.

Interior

The furnishings include two tombstones with rococo decorations for pastors Textor († 1786) and Bauman († 1776). The church was once adorned with a late Gothic altar shrine with figures of Saints Lorenz , Vitus and Wolfgang . This altar shrine came with the secularization in the former state collection of patriotic antiquities in Stuttgart, as well as the associated predella with a painting depicting Christ and the disciples, and the altarpiece with the crucifixion group crucifix with Mary and John . The side wings have been lost.
