Lauri Hussar

Lauri Hussar (born September 4, 1973 ) is an Estonian journalist. He has been editor-in-chief of Postimees since 2016 .

Life

Hussar studied theology at the University of Tartu from 1992 to 1996 . From 1998 to 2006 he then worked as a TV reporter and editor for TV3 .

Subsequently, until the spring of 2016 he was the presenter at Vikerraadio , a nationally broadcast radio program by Eesti Rahvusringhääling (ERR). In mid-March 2016 he became deputy editor-in-chief of the national daily Postimees . Three months later, on June 14, 2016, he was promoted to editor-in-chief as the successor to Merit Kopli, who a short time later went to Germany as cultural representative.

Private

Lauri Hussar has been married since July 2008.

As a new founder, he has been a member of the Estonian student association Arminia Dorpatensis in the Wingolfsbund since 1994 .
