Law and Order (Politics)
Law and Order (in German roughly law and order or law and order ) is a political catchphrase originally in English, but also used in German-speaking countries . What is meant here is the demand for drastic laws and tough police measures to combat crime , drug use and violence .
origin
The political catchphrase law and order comes from the United States , where it came up in the mid-19th century. This was used to describe political groups that wanted to extend slavery to the New Territories and restrict the right to vote.
