Lawrence (Toronto Subway)

Lawrence is an underground subway station in Toronto . It lies on the Yonge-University line of the Toronto Subway , at the intersection of Yonge Street and Lawrence Avenue . The station has a central platform and is used by an average of 24,560 passengers every day (2015).

There are transfer options to five bus routes that run from a bus station that is also underground . A special feature is that the access tunnels to the bus station are used in left-hand traffic. Nearby is Lawrence Park, one of Toronto's most affluent residential areas. The station opened on March 31, 1973, along with the Eglinton - York Mills section .
