Lawrence East (Toronto Subway)

Lawrence East is a subway station in Toronto . It is on the Scarborough Line of the Toronto Subway , on Lawrence Avenue between Kennedy Road and Midland Avenue. The station has side platforms at ground level and is used by an average of 8,130 passengers every day (2015).

There is a possibility to change to a bus line that runs on a bridge over the station. A park-and-ride with 90 parking spaces is also available for commuters . The station opened on March 24, 1985, along with the entire Scarborough line between Kennedy and McCowan . The route follows the Canadian National Railway route in this area . According to current plans, the Scarborough line could be replaced by an extension of the Bloor-Danforth line , but on a different route.
