Lawrence Hugh Landweber is an American computer scientist .

Lawrence Landweber received his B.Sc. in mathematics at Brooklyn College doctorate and in 1967 Buchi for Ph.D. at Purdue University . He has been a professor in the Computer Sciences Department at the University of Wisconsin since 1967 .

He became known for his proactive role in building the Internet since 1982. He has contributed significantly to intercontinental internet connections.
