Layāl Abboud
Layāl Abboud ( Arabic ليال عبود layāl abboud ) (born May 15, 1982 in Kanisah ) is a Lebanese pop singer and actress.
biography
Layal was born in 1982 in the Tire district and grew up with three brothers and six sisters in the large, Shiite family Munir and Maryam Abboud. After graduating from high school, she studied English literature and achieved a Masters Degree in Translation before starting her musical career. She is also strongly committed to human rights . In 2001 she was first seen on the TV show "Studio El-Fan". She sings in various Arabic dialects and has released two albums so far. Her breakthrough came in 2009 with the songs Ahla Zaffe and Mghanaj , which hit the charts.
A third album with a new management and songwriting team is announced for 2017.
Awards
In 2017 she won the cultural award for artistic creativity from the Lebanese Ministry of Culture.
