Layla (place)

Layla ( Arabic لیلی, DMG Lailā ) is a city in Saudi Arabia and is located about 330 km south of Riyadh . The city is said to have been named after Layla by Bani 'Amir . The city and the surrounding settlements have about 76,000 inhabitants, the majority of whom are settled Bedouins of the Dawasir tribe. Layla is in the immediate vicinity of the lake of the same name.
