Lebaiskari

Lebaiskari ( Georgian ლებაისკარი , lɛbɑɪskʼɑrɪ ) is an example of the Georgian traditional towers that are common in northeastern Georgia , namely in the historical regions of Tusheti and Chevssuretia . Lebaiskari dates from the Middle Ages and was also used as an apartment in earlier times. The Lebaiskari tower is located near the Georgian village of the same name in Chewssureti , which according to today's administrative structure belongs to the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region.

Lebaiskari is a five-story tower. The floors are connected by wooden stairs. The ground floor was used as a stable ( Georgian გომური ). The top floor has a vault. The tower has a pyramidal roof.
