Leaky waveguide

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Leaky waveguides are waveguides for electromagnetic waves in which it is desirable that the energy can enter and exit not only at the ends, but also to a certain extent along the entire length of the leaky waveguide. Leaky waveguides for different areas of the electromagnetic spectrum are known in electrical engineering (high frequency technology) and optics.

Siemens uses the term leaky wave cable for its RCoax WLAN slotted cable.

In railway safety systems are in the system ETCS in Euro Loops used.
