Empty bag
The municipal gallery Leerer Beutel is a cultural center of the city of Regensburg . It is located at Bertoldstraße 9 in the east of the old town.
history
The building, which dates from the late Middle Ages , was probably originally used for grain storage. The current name is derived from "Lare-den-Pautel" = grain sack.
Since 1980, the former warehouse has housed a permanent exhibition on several floors of the art of Regensburg and the Eastern Bavaria region from the 20th and 21st centuries, as well as changing special exhibitions. The cultural center also houses a film gallery managed by the Film Regensburg eV working group, the Regensburg Jazz Club and a restaurant.
