Legios General (Voith Maxima replica)

Legios , based in Louny, is a Czech manufacturer of freight wagons and related spare parts. Until September 1, 2010, the company was called LOSTR or (until February 11, 2002) Lounské strojírny , also abbreviated LOSTR.

Legios produces flat cars , bulk goods / grain and tank cars . The Voith Maxima diesel-hydraulic locomotive is also being manufactured under license.

history

The company goes back to a repair shop for rail vehicles founded in 1872, the company Pražsko-duchcovské dráhy , later renamed to Dílny ČSD , later again to ŽOS Louny - Železniční opravny a strojírny Louny . In 1992 the ŽOS Louny were privatized. In the next few years the company traded as Lostr . After several name changes, the company has been called Legios since 2010 .

The further development will be somewhat less transparent. After another renaming to Heavy Machinery Service (HMS), insolvency proceedings were initiated in 2014, which, however, should be manipulated.
