Leib Gruzalc

Leib Gruzalc (* in Warsaw ; † April 26, 1943 ibid) was a resistance fighter of the General Jewish Workers' Union ("Bund") in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising .

Gruzalc was born as the son of pious parents and joined the “ Sozialistische Kinder Farband ” (SKIF) and later the “ Tsukunft ” (the youth organizations of the Jewish-socialist “Bund”).

After the occupation of Poland at the beginning of World War II , he was active in the Warsaw ghetto . For example, Gruzalc helped in a children's home with the procurement of food, with protection and with care. In the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, he commanded a combat group in the Central Ghetto. But he fell on the seventh day of the uprising, on April 26, 1943.
