Leienkreuz is a district of Seelscheid in the municipality of Neunkirchen-Seelscheid in the Rhein-Sieg district .

location

The formerly independent town of Leienkreuz is located on federal highway 56 at the junction to Stein .

history

In 1830 Leyenkreuz had six residents. In 1845 the farm had four Catholic residents in one house. In 1888 there were eight residents in two houses.

In 1910, the families Handelsmann Johann Fischer, farrier Wilhelm Fischer, grocer Franz Franken, widows Philipp Laufenberg and Peter Schöneshöfer ( without trade ), wheelwright Wilhelm Schneider and postman Peter Josef Weber lived here.

The settlement belonged to the Seelscheid community until 1969.
