history
Today's Leina-Werke were founded in 1964 by Roswitha & Horst-Werner Falkenstein under the name Leininger Verbandstoffe in Cologne . In 1965 the company moved to Rosbach , today a district of Windeck . With the introduction of the mandatory first-aid kit in automobiles in 1968, the success of the Leina-Werke increased rapidly. In 1991 the company was taken over by Hartmut Steinhauer, expanded in 1993 with the purchase of the Czech association manufacturer Lova and thus became one of the largest European manufacturers of first aid products. In 2002, a logistics center was built in Pegnitz in Bavaria, which handles deliveries to southern Germany and Europe. In 2004 a cooperation with the Polish company Vera was concluded.
