The Leipzig Vocal Romanticists were founded in 1987. Eight singers make up the male choir ensemble , whose members also belong to the Leipzig Radio Choir and the Opera Choir. The musical focus is on maintaining the romantic male choir literature.
In addition to romantic works, the concerts of the Leipzig vocal romantic also include chants from Gregorian chant up to contemporary compositions, e.g. B. Songs of the Comedian Harmonists (partly edited by myself). In order to offer their concert-goers a varied repertoire, they combine their voices with instruments such as the harp .
The ensemble released seven records. (As of December 2011)
